This Privacy Policy explains how CyberScore ("we", "us", "the Service"), operated under the VortiSec brand and reachable at cyberscore.cc, handles information when you use our website and tools. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Service.
1. What the scanner processes
CyberScore performs passive, non-invasive checks against a target you provide (a domain name, URL, or IP address). When you run a scan:
- The target you type is sent to our server solely to perform the requested checks (security headers, TLS, DNS, email records, technology detection, URL reputation). It is processed in real time and is not sold or shared for marketing.
- We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, address, or payment details to use the scanner.
2. Technical logs & rate limiting
Like most websites, our server may temporarily record standard technical information — including your IP address, browser type, and the time of your request — in order to operate the Service, prevent abuse, and apply rate limits. These logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operational purposes.
3. Cookies & advertising
CyberScore itself uses only the cookies or local storage strictly necessary for the site to function. We also display third-party advertising, which may set its own cookies:
- Google AdSense. We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the Google advertising cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
- For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's partner-sites policy.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we present a consent request before non-essential advertising cookies are used, in line with applicable law. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
4. Affiliate disclosure
Some links on CyberScore — for example to recommended security tools, VPNs, or password managers — are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are marked as sponsored where they appear. We only recommend products we consider relevant to our audience; affiliate relationships do not influence the results of any scan.
5. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (such as how many visits a page receives). This does not identify you personally.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because the scanner is designed to run without accounts, we typically hold little or no personal data about an individual beyond transient technical logs. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
7. Children
CyberScore is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
